Malnutrition, a topic too often overlooked
40% of hospitalized patients are at risk of undernutrition and 20% are already undernourished when admitted to the hospital.
The« Belgian Alliance-ONCA – Optimal Nutritional Care for All » platform has been recently created as part of the European ONCA campaign to discuss and launch projects aiming at improving the nutritional approach.
ONCA campaign vision: In all the European countries, each individual at risk of malnutrition or malnourishment should be systematically screened, evaluated and followed-up, and be able to benefit from high quality, equitable and
appropriate nutritional care.
